Information you choose to send

If you email North Peak Life, we receive the information in your message, including your email address and anything you choose to share. We use it to respond, manage editorial corrections, consider story ideas or partnerships, and keep a reasonable record of the conversation.

Newsletter signups

If you join the Weekend Dispatch, North Peak Life and its email service provider, Kit, collect your email address, subscription status and the basic technical details needed to confirm your signup, deliver emails and prevent abuse. We use this information only to send North Peak Life newsletters and understand basic delivery and engagement.

New subscribers are asked to confirm their email address. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time. Kit processes signup information under its privacy policy.

Basic website and conversion data

The company that hosts this website may process standard technical logs such as an IP address, browser type, date and time, and the page requested. These records help deliver and secure the site.

North Peak Life also counts a small set of first-party events: when a newsletter form comes into view, when a valid newsletter form is submitted, and when a visitor follows a shopping link to Amazon.ca, Source for Sports or Sport Chek. The conversion record contains the event type, North Peak Life page, destination retailer and path, placement and time. It does not contain the newsletter email address, a visitor name, an IP address or a user identifier. These counts help us understand which guides and recommendations are useful. We honour browser Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals for this event collection.

External services and links

Some pages include affiliate links to Amazon.ca, product images delivered by Amazon, email signup tools delivered by Kit, and fonts delivered by Google. Those companies may receive technical information when their content loads or when you follow a link. Their own privacy and cookie policies apply.

Retention and choices

Newsletter information is kept while you remain subscribed and as reasonably needed to honour an unsubscribe request. Messages and related records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose they were sent, business records, or legal obligations. Anonymous conversion-event counts may be kept to compare long-term site performance. You can ask a privacy question or request a correction by emailing [email protected].
